Stars Aligning

Next week I will be on the road for work. First stop is Hartford for work training. Not looking forward to 8 hours a day of class time about insurance, but there is an added benefit. Since I'll be on the East Coast and had plans to spend the weekend in NYC, I got my boss to approve of me working from NYC after my class is over and now, instead of having to pay for my trip to NYC, work is footing the bill.

Add on to that the following:
-Kee Won got me a free ticket to the Sneaker Pimps show featuring Big Boi, Cam'ron, Clipse, The Cool Kids, Wale and DJ Clark Kent; Kee Won's working the concert
-Kee Won's job is footing the bill for his hotel and I'm crashing there
-Arnaub and Wen are coming in from Boston for the weekend for the concert; Korey and Margo are also coming to the concert
-Anna is coming back from Mexico for 3 days and it happens to be when I'm in NYC!
-Karen is coming back from DC for Maria's bday party!
-Phil is back in town for the summer and is having his housewarming when I'm back
-School ends for Dani that week so I know she'll be down for getting drunky

The only thing that would make this trip better is if the weather holds out.

Thank You Justin Timberlake

for paying for my plane ticket to Cali. I had tickets to his last show at Continental Arena in NJ, but instead of going, I sold them off and made a nice little profit that paid for my ticket to SoCal this week. Well worth it since now I'm sitting in the sun relaxing!

My god, Rome is so beautiful. I don't have much to say right now cause my internet time is running out, but this place is absolutely beautiful. I saw Nicky and Jordan the other night, then I saw Lindsey Beal and her family the other day and last night, I got lost for hours just walking around the streets and different piazzas. Oh man, one more day and then to Florence!!!

Shit! I'm in Amsterdam. Well, I'm in Schiphol Airport on my way out of Amsterdam to Rome!! I can't wait to get there, though my flight just got delayed for 1.5 hours which means I will be wasting away at this computer at a fuckin' 1 Euro per 5 minutes of internet use, but its worth it. I realized how spoiled we are in the US with Internet access everywhere. I thought Phil had a connection in his room, but it turns out his computer lab is like clear across town. Anyways, these last few days have been just a big haze, jumping from Amsterdam to the Hague then back to Amsterdam and running into so many Williams kids. It was crazy, just having 7 of us in Phil's room last night, sleeping on the cold ass tile floor. But its been worth it and I've spent way more money than I ever wanted to, but whatever, I'm on vacation so I might as well enjoy it while I can. So I'm off to Rome in a couple of hours where I will visit all the wonderful places Sil suggested and hopefully meet up with Nicky and Jordan and the Beal family!!! And then its off to Florence with Nicky and Jordan to meet up with Jennie and Chae and god know what other Williams kids we will run into. Rak, where you at?

Home has been good. Very low stress and time with the parents has been fun, which is surprising. No big arguments yet. Anyways, last night was a good time. Finally found out where DI lives and he finally gave me his phone number. I'm jealous of Di. I'd kill to have my own place. But anyways, it was a profitable night. We played poker for a couple hours and I left up $5. We also had a little beer run escapade, driving to Citgo, then to Super Value, and finally finding beer at of all all places, Super America. Thank god Kee Won is 21 now. It makes life so much easier. But after poker and drinking, I talked to Maureen and found out that most of the beer they sell in gas stations in Minnesota is called 3-2 beer because it contains a half the alcohol as regular true. If this is true, we got swindled at the gas station. Plus, Kee Won and Di...you guys need to step up your drinking cause being wildly buzzed off of 2 beers and 3/4 beer respectively of 3-2 beer....c'mon. Anyways, off for more Christmas shopping.

So this is day 2 of Spring Break and it has been so much fun. Yesterday was a little stressful in that I had to move all my stuff to Prospect for the next two weeks. Its not an easy feat, since Prospect and Mission are on opposites sides of campus and I lugged a lot of my stuff by foot. But anyways, I got to eat lunch with Amber and Chloe before they left for Vermont and then I logged another 4.5 hours at my construction job. Yes, I'm now a construction worker. Its just another job to add to my illustrious work career. But yeah, the job is fun and kind of relaxing, though a little creepy cause I'm laying concrete in this small, dank-ass basement that is reminiscent of Silence of the Lambs, but my employer is cool and I know his wife because she teaches at Williams. Anyways, the rest of last night was pretty chill, made some yummy pasta with vodka sauce and then chilled, watching the Simpsons and what not.

Today was a new day in that I went to church. First time ever since being at Williams. I mean, I was pretty consistent when I was in California, mostly cause I really loved that church. I miss Newsong. Wish it was my home church. Anyways, I went to a Baptist church today with Sulgi and Keiko. For some reason I was expecting an energetic, gospelly church, but what was I thinking? It was pretty small and the congregation was mostly elderly people, but it was quaint. Nto sure if I'd go back again. I might try going to church in Albany with Sulgi. I gotta admit, Sulgi is a good influence on me. I relaly like hanging out with her. I'm glad she is here over break too, otherwise I might go crazy. So yeah, I had a whole list of thing to do today and nothing got accomplished cause after church, I went back to Keiko's house with Sulgi. Sulgi's staying there over break. We had tea and chatted a long time about AASiA and KOW and reforming them and next year and the possibility of who might be AASiA co-chair. Should I run again? Not sure if I want to...but maybe? Really something I need to think about. Anyways, Keiko eventually came back and we cooked lunch and ate and chatted. Haven't had such a relaxed meal in so long. Then we went to Stop and Shop. I just went yesterday and spent $50. Went today and spent another $50. Damn I love grocery shopping. So after splurging on food, I went back to Prospect and chilled for a bit, met Sulgi's friend Phillip and his friend from Germany, Leo, and we went back to Sulgi's for dinner. We all made some wonderful sushi and gorged for like two hours. It was so good, the food, and being to eat without regard to time. Then we watched a bit of the Oscars, pretty boring stuff except for some anti-war sentiment, and then watched Notting Hill, which was a sappy romantic film so of course I liked it. Tomorrow will be fun. Probably another dinner party, but also, I should start my job at Admissions...hopefully...

Lastly, the war is getting scary. Read the news. And let me just say, I hate Bush for the war, not so much on the principles of the war, but the side effects, i.e. the dip in travel, especially air travel which is killing the airline industry. If this war fucks with my dad's job...don't ven try to imagine...
