California Dreaming

Wow...this past weekend was simply wonderful. I left for SoCal on Friday afternoon. After a long plane ride, I was hoping to soak in some Cali sun, but when I got off the plane, it was raining. When my brother came to pick me up, he said that it might rain all weekend. I was definitely bummed, but then I jumped in the car and saw my beautiful little niece. I'm not going to run through all the details of the weekend. Suffice it to say, it was completely relaxing. The weather turned out to be amazing. Sunny and 60-70 every day. I went to the beach, the Spectrum, the Nickel Arcade, ate lots of food, and mostly, just played with Haley. She's so big already. Almost 7 months and crawling, talking/babbling and so full of energy. I'm already looking forward to seeing her again over Christmas.

The trip just left me fully energized. Today, work went by really quickly and things are looking good for the week. Have a meeting on Thursday with one of our managers; he's gonna tell us what's next (my boss left last week so things have kind of been in limbo) and last week, he was very positive about things. Also, its a three day work week for me and then its off to NYC for the weekend to see peoples and Barb and Gail!
