Hate It Or Love It...
Currently Watching:
The MTV 2005 VMAs
Rome
Entourage
I know, I'm such a tool, but I really love MTV...and hate it so much, but either way, I did all my errands for the day and even did some studying for work today so the rest of the night is devoted to flipping back and forth between the VMAs, the premiere of Rome on HBO, and my usual Sunday staple, Entourage. I've got my ass planted on the couch, with my laptop next to me so I'll probably just be posting throughout the night.
One thing that I've already noticed is that people who comment on fashion on award shows about fashion have the most atrocious fashion sense! Steven Cojocaru anybody? At least he's not reporting on MTV right now. But MTV has added a new "fashion correspondent" name Coltrane. (Can't find a picture, but not the best person to be commenting on fashion.)
Another thing that bothers me about MTV, and this has bothered me for a while, are the "news correspondents," especially John Norris and Suchin Pak. Let's start with the easy one first. Suchin Pak is a terrible interviewer, is not really that hip, and sadly, doesn't represent Asians very well (she needs to step her game up being the ONLY Asian on MTV.)
Now John Norris...dude is old. He's like 46 and whenever I see him report, he's like one of those dads who tries to act cool for there kids. (The only old guy I can respect on MTV is Kurt Loder.) And tonight on the VMAs, I'm not sure if he's trying to dress hip, but he's wearing one of the ugliest ensembles: a purple pastel tie-dyedwife-beaterish shirt with rhinestones and white sneakers with purple pastel accents. He's sort of looks like Kevin Bacon. I think I might barf soon.
On the other hand, I can't hate on Sway or Gideon Yago. Or the VJs, especially Damien since I work with his aunt!
