I finally found an apartment in New York. It's a nice studio on the Upper East Side. It's a railroad-style apartment with effectively 3 separate rooms. The living room is very large and probably more space than I need and the rent is pretty reasonable (for New York). Things didn't really work out with finding a place with a roommate, which is disappointing, but I think this is the best option for me at this point in time, especially since I am somewhat unsure of my future plans. I get keys for the apartment the last week of July and will really move in the first week of August when my stuff gets moved from CT. For now, I'm still camping out in Chelsea.
