Operation NYC: Part V- Still Searching

This way of living is really wearing me down. I need to find a place soon, but a lot of things have fallen apart lately. After some discussion this weekend, I've decided to try a find a place with Evan, my friend from college. That's great news because, with our combined resources, we can definitely find a nicer place than what I would have found alone. This will make my parents very happy as they have been a little wary of me living in
However, there still are a few problems. The first is that I need to move ASAP and Evan's current lease isn't up until the end of August. My current lease in CT isn't up until the end of July so theoretically I could keep commuting, but I think that if I try to do the 6-hour daily commute for another month, I may die. The other problem is that Evan work schedule is not as flexible as mine and given how fast the NYC rental market moves, you need to be able to go view a place and sign for a lease at a moment's notice. I don't know how feasible this all is.
