Work Rotation: Week 4- San Francisco

So my last week in San Francisco has come to an end. It's been a pretty memorable last week in SF. Work was pretty slow since our management team was in Hawaii for most of the week for RIMS, a big industry convention. Also, most of the West Coast insurers and brokers were also there so the phones were really quiet in the office. However, I still managed to keep entertained.

I got to have dinner with my JA, Eric Schoenfeld, who I hadn't seen since he graduated almost 3 years ago. He's now at Stanford in the math PhD program. It was great to see him and catch up. He definitely helped me get through freshman year at Williams. As I've been seeing old friends, they've been filling in many of the gaps in my memory from that year and yes...Schoenfeld definitely helped me make out that year alive. (I was quite a mess as a freshman.) He's also one of the reasons I became a JA.

Besides seeing Schoenfeld, I got to see some other old friends that I hadn't seen in years. Even though I grew up with Joe and Wendy, I hadn't seen them in 3 years as well. It was good to see them finally and like most of the friends I grew up, once we saw each other, it was old habit. Joe and I were instantly getting on each other's cases and Wendy was...Wendy was Wendy. We hung out all day on Saturday with Ben, eating dim sum, hanging out at the City Lights Bookstore, had some drinks at Vesuvio, playing cards, and relaxing in Wendy's amazing place in Kensington. God I miss seeing them.

Other highlights included going to the Giants game on Wendesday. SBC Park is amazing and the game was one of the best I've ever seen. Even got to see Bonds hit his 711th homerun. I don't care what Steve says. Roid head or not, it was still frickin' amazing to see.
