Holla At A Scholar

The classes I've been taking have been focused on construction and real estate development. I took one class on construction management, one on project management, one on basic core and shell construction, and one on managing small development projects. It has been really interesting learning something completely new. The content is less theoretical than what I would have studied at Williams which makes it easier to digest. I know however, that some of it is sinking in. When I pass construction projects in the city (and they are everywhere), I definitely look at them differently and starting asking myself questions about how the project is setup, why they made certain construction decisions, etc. I can also talk the talk a little which I realized when I was out in Cali a couple weeks ago. I was walking some job sites and new the lingo and was able to hold some intelligent conversations with the site managers.
I'm a little sad to see the classes end. I miss learning. I also don't know what I'm going to do with all the extra time. Idleness is a deadly thing. I'll also miss some of the random class experiences, like running into a friend of mine from Williams who was also taking classes or having Ivanka Trump sit in on one of my classes!

Yeah, they have summer classes, but I don't think I'll be taking any since I might not be around and I don't have any more money!
