Thanksgiving Comes Early

A combination of boredom and getting a free turkey from FreshDirect led me to roast a turkey tonight. I had never roasted a turkey before and having heard the difficulties of roasting a turkey (time, keeping it moist, etc.), I was a little wary. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. The turkey, which I brined/marinated for 2 days, is extremely moist and flavorful.

The best part was that after cooking it, I immediately wanted to taste it, but what’s turkey without some cranberry sauce. That led to a midnight run to the grocery store. The grocery store at midnight on a Tuesday night draws some strange characters. Sadly, I was also one of them. I mean, who goes to a grocery store in the middle of the night just to buy one can of cranberry?!

Well, me. And it was some good cranberry sauce.
