A Scrub's Life, Part I
Current Addiction: Scrubs
At first, I wasn't really into the show "Scrubs." One of my co-workers (actually, ex co-workers; he quit a couple of weeks ago), Steve, and I used to always talk about TV shows and had pretty similar tastes. Both of us were addicted to watching TV shows on DVD. It really is a lot easier than trying to watch every week at a certain time. Anyway, Steve told me that I should be watching "Scrubs." I was resistant until a week ago when I was randomly flipping through channels and came across the air band episode of "Scrubs." I started watching half-way through the episode. Without the context of teh beginning of the episode and not having watched it since it's first season, the episode was really, really strange, but kind of funny.
I was intrigued. Since Steve had raved about it and because our taste in TV shows was pretty on point, I jumped online and started downloading the most recent episodes from this season of "Scrubs." Now I'm hooked. In the last 5 days, I've seen all 10 episodes from the current season as well as all of seasons 2 and 3.
However, beyond just the laughs and the amazing soundtrack (soundtracks for seasons 1 and 3 are currently on my iPod), I think I've actually learned something from the show. That's coming in the next post...
